Olivia Merquior is a businesswoman, creative director, and researcher, known for her work with creative and marketing teams of various national and international companies, including Bulgari, Renner, Lenny Niemeyer, Melissa, Sebrae, Grupo Soma, Família Ghermezian, among others.

She stood out as the first Latin American to hold the position of LATAM coordinator for Première Vision Paris, working in the showrooms of São Paulo, New York, and Paris. For over 10 years, Olivia participated in international meetings, collaborating in the definition of concepts, materials, shapes, and colors for the global luxury market, alongside major international forecasting agencies.

A graduate in Communication from PUC-Rio and in Fashion Design from Central Saint Martins in London, Olivia Merquior had a career marked by significant experiences in the field of innovation. She was part of the development team for Louis Vuitton's space bags, worked in Jonathan Saunders' fashion show team, and collaborated on projects for TopShop. In Brazil, she was responsible for developing innovative materials for Animale's fashion shows and was later appointed for the research and development of international products for Grupo Soma.

Olivia founded the Brazilian Center for Studies in Clothing Design (Centro-Br) and co-hosted the High Low Podcast with journalist Isabel Junqueira. In the field of education, in addition to courses on the GMT platform, Olivia is a professor at FAAP Digital and has taught courses at the European Institute of Design.

Recognized as one of the most active and influential professionals in the national fashion market, she was the curator and mentor of all editions of the Estufa and Top5 projects of São Paulo Fashion Week. In 2020, she launched the first Immersive Technologies Week in Latin America, the Brazil Immersive Fashion Week, which was recognized by Vogue Italy as an important platform for new talents.

Olivia Merquior is one of the leading national voices with practical action in the world of culture and technology. As the creator of BRIFW, the first immersive festival in Latin America dedicated to the markets of fashion, beauty, and culture, Olivia has been establishing platforms to foster creative practices with technological resources among communities from various countries.

She was responsible, along with designer Lucas Leão, for the first full 3D fashion show presented at SPFW, the first immersive fashion exhibition in Latin America, and the first figital show in the Americas, featuring augmented reality resources via Snapchat.

In 2021, she launched an AR artwork exhibition in collaboration with the NFT platform Hic et Nunc, as an official part of the prestigious SP-Arte event.

Olivia is a partner and co-founder of IARA, a cooltech company specializing in innovative project management, serving major brands such as Bulgari, O Boticário, Renner, Aperol, Farm, Rede Globo, among others.

In 2022 and 2023, together with the IARA team and digital community, she created the first augmented reality experiences, NFTs, and immersive interactions for the Carnival at Sapucaí, in the Nosso and Grupo Soma VIP boxes, respectively.

Pointed out by Folha de São Paulo in 2020 as one of the specialists in technology within the cultural sphere, Olivia was invited to be the guest editor for the November 2021 print edition of Vogue Brasil, which featured special and unprecedented content about fashion, art, and new virtual spaces. Since then, she has been a collaborator of Vogue in courses and technology topics.

Olivia is a speaker and content partner at major events such as Rio2C, BRICS+ Fashion Summit and Wired Festival Brazil.
